(More customer reviews)I've been searching for a comprehensive review of this attachment for months before I bought one. I found a couple of short reviews on the bodybuilding websites, so I jumped in and bought one of these. I have the Powertec leverage gym that I purchased in 2007...and the only other attachment is the leg curl/extension one that came with it. -Easy to put together although you will need a mallet to get the bearing into the metal slot. Takes 30 minutes. -You need to put the bench back into the shoulder press configuration so that the post of the leg press sits firmly on the metal base of the bench. The Powertec video shows the actor sitting fairly upright, but this works much better if you put the bench at a position like if you were doing incline presses. Otherwise your knees are in your chest -It is heavy. You need to be careful sliding it into the holder while pulling out the adjustment pin...you can easily injure a finger if you aren't careful -once you put plates on the end it gets much heavier and puts alot of strain on the bench. It actually slides the bench up and over. One of the guys on the bodybuilding site had his whole bench tip over when he put plates on. Therefore, I don't think it should be used with the utiity bench alone even though the Powertec website is advertising it that way -You only need to use about half the weight of a standard leg press. It has a linkage system that starts out easy and then gets progressively harder until you reach the end of the press -it does not feel at all like a gym leg press. The movement gets more difficult as you extend your legs, and the apparatus actually wobbles a little throughout the work-out. That's why I give it 4 stars. -you can't do calf presses because the foot pedals move. I have to say that for $[...] it's not a bad attachment. I bought it for supplementing squats in my home gym, and it will work fine for that. But if you are serious about leg presses buy a dedicated piece of equipment
