(More customer reviews)Full disclosure: I'm a former couch potato that has been running for about 3 years. I run about 25-30 miles per week, almost exclusively in Saucony Omnis. I started with the Omni 6's which are still my favorites for support, weight, comfort, and just plain overall feel. When they changed to the Omni 7, it didn't feel right so I tried a Brooks shoe. Why is this relevant? Because, for me, the Saucony Omni 8 is (nearly) a return to what I love about the almost extinct Omni 6. I've got about 150 miles on my 8's and they seem to be holding up pretty well (especially on the inside of the shoe just below the ankle where my moving foot sometimes hits my planted foot while running). If you think one running shoe is just as good as the next, well..this one is. If you left the Saucony brand, this shoe might be worth trying on next time you're at the running store.
