(More customer reviews)I really like about 95% of this pack. It holds enough clothing in case bad weather rolls in, and can carry enough water for a very long trip. The pouches on the shoulder straps and waist belt are well sized and work well.
It is a nice option to be able to carry the two water bottles on the side (instead of, or in addition to a bladder in the pack). You have to be flexible to get to them, but with a little practice it is easy. The bottle holster has a stiff frame, which makes it easy to guide the bottle in when you find it. The tops of the bottles are great with a gated loop. They stick out to the side, which makes for a good grab point when you are pulling them out.
The pack feels steady to run with and have been on four hour runs without my shoulders bothering me. The one thing that doesn't work so well for me is keeping it from rubbing the small of my back. I am 5'10" but have a somewhat small frame. I am almost at the smallest adjustment possible for the shoulder straps and the waist belt with a 37" chest and 30" waist. Still working on perfecting my adjustments. I already have things tightened pretty well. Part of this is due to the weight that I am putting into the pack as well. Running without lots of extra water, clothing, and food is easy and feels very natural.
Construction seems good, although I have only used it for a month. Overall, this pack works well for the long distance trail running that I bought it for. I have not used other packs like this yet, but will be getting some smaller volume packs for racing and smaller trips.
