I log around 25-35 miles a week running and I use this roller to loosen up my hamstrings, quads, and IT bands - much more direct than the typical stretches targeting those areas. True to description it is much more rigid than the ones I've used at the gym and it hasn't softened up after 6 months of use (I'm 185 lbs). Good way loosen up your back too.
